My name is Maija, I was born in 1968 in Latvia, studied Biology in the Latvian University, and afterwards moved to live in Prague, Czech Republic, where I became a fitness instructor and personal trainer. Since then, I've gained almost 20 years of teaching experience in Czech Republic, Latvia and Germany, working at gyms, yoga and dance studios, giving seminars and retreats. In 2012 I acquired a Classical and SPA Massage practitioner certificate, and in 2015 was initiated in the II degree of Reiki Healing.

I currently live in Düsseldorf, Germany.

 

 

My BODYLIFTING method

 

Using my experience as a Fitness Trainer, as well as the skills I've picked up in various workshops and courses, I have worked out my own method of keeping the body in good shape. I call it Bodylifting, after the sample of „Face lifting“. Yes, it is possible to rejuvenate the body, bringing vitality, energy and well-being back to it. And we don't need a sugery for that.

 

In my trainings, I mostly use elements of Hatha Yoga, Pilates and Physiotherapy. The main principles are: awareness, conscious breathing, engaging the core and stretching and toning all the bigger muscle groups with simple (though, not always easy) movements.

The method, when regularily practiced, not only improves your posture and makes you look better but also prevents back pain and allows you to be more flexible, energetic and self-confindent.

 

Both massages and Reiki can also help you feel good in your own body. I recommend them to everybody but especially to those who, due to pain or blockages in the body, cannot fully engage in physical exercises.
